ABOUT

Anchor 1

As you may know by now, I'm Fred Hunter Jr. I am a Dayton, Ohio native and am currently a graphic designer for the San Antonio Spurs. I am a  2021 graduate of the University of Indianapolis and hold a Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, playing video games, trying new foods, rewatching Marvel movies, going to the gym and watching cartoons (BIG Spongebob guy).

I was first introduced to Photoshop and graphic design my junior year

of high school. After a brief hiatus of working in Photoshop, I began to teach myself the software again and developed a passion for sports design! I enrolled in a few Visual Communication Design courses in college to further develop my knowledge and skills in the Adobe Creative Suite and am continuing to learn and develop my design skills. The summer before my junior year of college, I was presented the opportunity to become the Creative Content Intern for UIndy's football program and completed 2 seasons working with the Greyhounds!

My senior year of college, I was offered an internship with the Indianapolis Colts in the Marketing & Events department. My first season responsibilities were limited due to COVID, but I managed to make the most of every opportunity presented to me! In my 2nd season with the Colts, my responsibilities expanded with assisting in the planning, execution, and promotion of several marketing events such as Training Camp, Colts 5k, Kickoff Concert, Touchdown Town, and much more. Through this internship, I developed a newfound love and passion for creating memorable events for fans!

In June of 2022, I was hired as the Assistant Director of Graphic Design for Indiana University Football. I began this role as the lead recruiting designer for the program, and after a few staffing changes, I took charge of the overall design leadership for IU Football! Taking on the Hoosier Football design responsibilities of social media, recruiting, marketing, ticketing, internal brand operations, and assisting in various photoshoot directions allowed me to grow both as a designer and a sports professional. This also allowed me to collaborate and build relationships throughout numerous departments of IU Athletics! After working out of Bloomington for 2 years, I was offered the opportunity to move out of the Midwest and into South Texas where I am currently working with Spurs Sports & Entertainment!

Attached below is my resume listing my previous positions, volunteer experiences, and skills. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact with me, please do not hesitate to reach out!
